About the role:

  • Develop and maintain DevOps pipeline
  • Build and Maintain Azure/AWS DevOps including source code repos, builds and pipelines

About the team: 

Prophet is a leading risk management platform used by the financial services industry around the world to model companies’ financial business. Our team is working on a greenfield Prophet SaaS project. Join one of multinational Scrum teams which are using latest CI/CD methodologies with the goal of creating high performance SaaS microservice application in AWS Cloud along with creating and maintaining build pipelines for other Prophet Products. Application for Insurance industry which will utilize so many machines that you will need to learn how to deal with limitations of standard AWS services. If you like challenges, we are offering one.

What you will be doing:

We are looking for a professional who is passionate about technologies and has strong analytical skills to take on the following challenges in the Prophet team:

  • Engineer and maintain our build / deployment platform, automated deployments and automated test systems running for the development and QA
  • Build and maintain various CI pipelines, supporting projects CD initiatives
  • Administer / Maintain development infrastructure including source control systems, CI / CD servers, CI / CD environments
  • Document implementation in our internal knowledge base platform
  • Continuously explore new technologies / opportunities to improve team development efficiency
  • Architect related infrastructure parts of our Agile software development process, working with Docker, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform and various AWS services
  • Implementation of the latest industry technologies

What you will need:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as System engineer, DevOps engineer or Linux Engineer
  • Experience with source control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub, BitBucket)
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with services on Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure platforms
  • Linux knowledge, preferably server distributions like RHEL and CentOS
  • Practical experience in administering Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Knowledge about container virtualization like Docker or Podman
  • Experience with automation servers (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
  • Some knowledge with provisioning tools
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and communication skills in English language
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Ability to work in an agile development environment where developers and testing personnel work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills working with technical and non-technical individuals.

  • With metric, logging and monitoring tools
  • Terraform
  • With network security, load balancers, web servers, DNS, proxies, reverse proxies, firewalls
  • With Kubernetes container orchestration, Docker Compose or Docker Swarm
  • With message queuing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka
  • In software releasing and versioning
  • With object oriented programming, preferably C#
