About the Search team

The Search team at loveholidays is responsible for creating the website and app experience for customers who are planning, discovering, and booking holidays. We are passionate product engineers who collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data analysts, and colleagues from other departments. Together, we bring solutions for our users from ideas to reality, shaping the future of our search experience.

What you'll be working on:

• Expanding our cutting-edge Preact application to provide meaningful features for millions of users.
• Building server-driven UIs that can be modified without requiring engineering involvement, enabling different parts of the business to optimize the platform.
• Working across our entire technology stack: optimizing app performance, deploying GraphQL changes, analyzing performance data using BigQuery, and rolling out new services to enhance the customer experience, such as hotel recommendations.
• Using languages such as Preact, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Node, while also having the opportunity to work with other languages and frameworks across our teams.
• As a Staff Engineer, you'll be a role model for technical excellence and architecture within the team. You'll lead by example, tackling complex technical and customer challenges.
