Work Schedule: Full-time, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Salary: As per contract

SUMMARY:
Providing professional support to students, including crisis intervention, emotional support, and connecting them with resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Supporting special education students with social/emotional skills
• Collaborating with community resources and mental health providers
• Assisting students and families with basic needs and crisis situations
• Implementing attendance interventions and support
• Coordinating 504 accommodation plans
• Intervening in alcohol/drug-related issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Driver’s license and School Social Worker license

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarity with district policies and social work standards
• Understanding of laws related to the job
• Knowledge of disabilities and accommodations
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in a school environment, sit for extended periods, lift up to 20 pounds, use vision and hearing to communicate

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
School setting with travel within the District
