Job Description:

This is an electrical engineering position responsible for providing maintenance, sustainment and modernization for Radar Systems to support the vital missions of the warfighters within the Space Systems (SS) Sector of L3Harris.  Primary systems supported include AN/FPS-132, Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), AN/FPQ-16, Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS), and decommissioned AN/FPS-123, Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry - Phased Array Warning System (PAVE PAWS).

This team, located in Colorado Springs, CO, is responsible for sustainment, life cycle (depot) maintenance, design, development, implementation, testing, and analysis. Responsibilities include supporting and participating in all phases of the hardware development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, testing, depot repair and deployment. Additionally, developing documentation and procedures will be required. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop performance requirements, evaluate, and develop designs containing hardware, software and cyber/IT components, and collaborate on the overall design of the system.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Science Engineering from an accredited college or university and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret security clearance 
  • Ability to develop requirements, design specifications, verification documents, and other technical documents as needed
  • Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and debugging of electronic assemblies including root-cause analysis
  • Willing and Able to travel Up to 25% of time, including overseas
  • Able to obtain US Passport

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience on UEWR/EWR/PARCS Radar Systems
  • Troubleshooting experience using existing procedures or developing new procedures
  • Familiar with Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Function Generators and Power Supplies
  • Develop and review electrical engineering documentation to ensure compliance to higher level specifications.
  • Understanding of technical baseline documents (Engineering Drawings, Technical Orders, etc.)
  • Understand Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions (RCCA) processes.
  • Experience performing risk analysis and risk mitigation plans.
  • Ability to work with E-CAD tools.
