About the team:

We are currently seeking Developers for our Recommendation Platform team in the Central Tech department. This team plays a critical role in providing personalized recommendations to our users by leveraging machine learning and AI technologies. You will collaborate with talented engineers and data scientists to improve our Trip Planner project and enhance the overall user experience.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Developing software applications using relevant programming languages and tools appropriate for the business area
• Ensuring the performance and health of applications by monitoring and addressing any issues promptly
• Resolving live production issues quickly to minimize customer impact
• Evaluating and implementing architecture solutions based on cost, business requirements, and emerging technologies
• Identifying opportunities for process, system, and structural improvements to enhance performance
• Communicating information effectively to different audiences using appropriate mediums and language

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

We are looking for driven Developers who enjoy problem-solving and believe in the power of the right mindset and tools to overcome challenges. The ideal candidate should have:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development with proficiency in Java (knowledge of other languages such as Python, Scala, C, C# is a plus)
• Prior experience with distributed systems like Hadoop
• Demonstrable knowledge of MySQL or similar relational databases
• Hands-on experience with open source data technologies is an advantage
• Experience working on products that impact a large customer base is a plus
• Preferably a degree in Mathematics or Software Engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
