In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining APIs and SDKs that enable the training, fine-tuning, and access of AI models at scale. Working with a team of world-class AI engineers and researchers, you will design and implement key API products and services that power real-time customer-facing applications. Some of the projects you will work on include: - Architecting, building, and deploying core APIs and SDKs for accessing Large-Language Models (LLMs) and proprietary Foundation Models (FMs). - Designing APIs for performance, real-time applications, scale, ease of use, and governance automation. - Developing application-specific interfaces that leverage LLMs and FMs to enhance the customer experience. - Enabling users to build new AI capabilities. - Creating tools and processes to monitor API access patterns and operational health. - Implementing AI safety and guardrails in the API layer, in collaboration with researchers. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing. - Minimum of 4 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, or Java. - Minimum of 3 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing training and inferencing APIs for deep neural networks. Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with building large-scale AI products or platforms for NLP, speech recognition, computer vision, or recommendation systems. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and competing priorities. - Strong collaboration skills to work with researchers and engineers to improve the product experience. - Experience deploying large neural network models in production environments. - Knowledge of API security, observability, cloud access control, and privacy best practices.
