Job Description

General Purpose of Job: To support and empower individuals of all backgrounds in achieving their goals and contributing to the community by providing accounting support to the Business Services Department. The Business Services Special Projects Accountant will analyze financial data, prepare reports, and oversee projects related to building bonds and facility management. This position may end after the completion of certain projects.

Responsibilities and tasks include:
  • Aligning with the organization's mission and values.

  • Improving processes and complying with financial regulations.
  • Developing the skills of staff members.
  • Coordinating the accounting for projects.
  • Assisting with budgets, expenditures, and audits.
  • Providing general accounting support.

  • Communicating effectively with others.
  • Displaying professionalism and commitment to growth.

Minimum qualifications include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.
  • Three years of experience in accounting with a focus on budgeting and financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience working in a public school district.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with others.

Salary: View salary information in the Management Personnel I-M agreement.
Work schedule: Full-time position with 225 work days per year.
