Job Opportunity: Distribution Center Management Internship

Whether you are a logistics enthusiast or simply passionate about organizational skills and teamwork, this internship provides hands-on learning in a dynamic and thriving industry. By joining us, you will play a vital role in streamlining operations and keeping businesses moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- People: Set clear performance standards, monitor attendance and productivity, provide counseling or recognition to associates as needed.
- Operations: Evaluate work methods, recommend changes to increase productivity, provide relief coverage when necessary, ensure operational compliance, and maintain accurate records.
- Finance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, such as inventory accuracy and control.
- Safety: Align management and associate activities with location safety strategies, provide training and feedback, ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Growth/Customer Experience: Understand customer goals and objectives, identify areas for improvement and continuous improvement efforts.
- Fleet/Assets: Effectively plan work assignments to optimize fleet and warehouse equipment utilization.
This internship program lasts approximately 12 weeks and offers a pay of $22.00 per hour. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with weekend availability based on operational needs.
Intern Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship, you should:
- Be pursuing a related business degree.
- Hold a high school diploma or GED.
- Have completed your junior or senior year of college.
- Be able to commute to the operation daily.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and the ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
- Show leadership or supervisory experience (preferred) and relevant blue-collar work experience.
- Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and an ability to learn and use proprietary software.
- Be flexible to rotate through different shifts (preferred) and have strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred).
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Build positive working relationships within the department at all levels.
- Be committed to learning, adaptable to feedback, and self-aware.
- Be results-oriented with attention to detail, effective time management, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze information, and understand instructions or guidelines.
- Stand, walk, and sit during the job.
- Use hands to touch, handle, and feel objects and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
- Have adequate vision abilities (close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus).
