Be Something Greater. Be Quad. Position Overview: We are seeking Skilled Operators in our Bindery/Finishing Department in Hartford. These positions include Inserters, Offline Mailers, Retail folders, and cutters. As an operator, your responsibilities will include set up and operation of Finishing equipment to customer specifications, monitoring production quality, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring equipment cleanliness. Some positions may involve direct reports. Responsibilities: - Operate machines effectively and safely to produce high-quality products. - Perform preventative and routine maintenance. - Set up equipment for production. - Assist other operators and fill in when needed. - Support material handlers and provide work direction during downtime and cleanup. - Have good mechanical aptitude and follow guides. - Train and direct crew members. - Maintain excellent attendance, job performance, safety record, positive attitude, and work well within a team. Qualifications: - Experience with offline equipment such as Ferage and Alpha Liner inserters, folders, rotary trimmers, quad mailers, and flat cutters. - 2-3 years of previous Bindery/Finishing Operator experience. - Strong mechanical aptitude. - Ability to observe and monitor machine operations for adjustments and quality. - Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills. - Computer proficiency to ensure product quality. - Ability to lift objects and stand for long hours.
