Senior Manager, Software Engineering, Full Stack - Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking passionate Full Stack Software Engineers who are eager to combine data with emerging technologies. As a Senior Manager Software Engineer at Capital One, you will have the chance to be at the forefront of a major transformation within our company.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a diverse team of developers and oversee various technology projects. This includes utilizing distributed microservices and full-stack systems to create solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest tech trends and participate in internal and external technology communities. You may also have the opportunity to mentor other engineers and occasionally code or evaluate code.
- Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans to achieve financial independence.
- Use programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go. You'll also work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, as well as Container Orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally, you'll utilize various AWS tools and services.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 4 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- 9+ years of experience in JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 7+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience in Agile practices
