About the Role:
As a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating, implementing, and maintaining DLP controls to reduce risks and enforce Capital One's Information Security Policy and Standards. You will work with a team of cyber technicians and engineers and leverage your expertise to deliver game-changing cybersecurity solutions. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing tools to safeguard data from cyber risks.
- Analyzing the problem space and working with architecture to develop target state architecture.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute technical resolutions.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders and ensuring the services we provide meet their needs.
- Communicating with Data Protection and Engineering teams across the organization.
- Collaborating with different teams to resolve dependencies with data loss prevention products.
- Building and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Strong expertise in data loss prevention tools.
- Deep understanding of web proxy, email, and endpoint solutions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to drive complex technical initiatives and engage with stakeholders.
- Experience in managing enterprise cybersecurity projects.
- Passion and expertise in technical delivery, product security, or software development practices.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience in building and securing technology systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
- At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
- At least 3 years of experience in the data protection field.
- At least 1 year of experience with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) infrastructure engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 3+ years of experience in scripting and solving cyber technical challenges.
- 3+ years of experience in Agile delivery model.
- 3+ years of experience in public cloud security and multi-cloud environments.
- 2+ years of experience in IT Delivery projects and technical writing.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with JIRA.
- 1 or more professional cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, CISA, or Security+.
- 1 or more professional cloud certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect - Associate, AWS Developer - Associate, AWS Security - Specialty, or AWS Solution Architect - Professional.
