Position Purpose: Help maintain Centene Corporation's Compliance Program by guiding special projects, providing regulatory interpretation, performing compliance reporting, and implementing compliance auditing and monitoring strategies.
- Respond to requests from external organizations for information needed for regulatory filings.
- Answer inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Keep track of pending legislation and regulations that may affect Centene Corporation services.
- Maintain a database and other reference materials related to legislative and regulatory issues and compliance.
- Communicate state and federal requirements to both internal and external clients.
- Provide guidance in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving compliance issues.
- Maintain and review regulatory documentation to meet corporate standards.
- Help develop and conduct compliance training programs.
- Perform periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
- Assist health plans in managing relationships with regulatory agencies and resolving policy issues that may impact member service negatively.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the implementation of Compliance Committee policies.
- Act as a company-wide resource and liaison for policies, contract issues, communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred and may be considered in place of experience. 1+ years of related compliance, privacy, and/or regulatory affairs experience. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, particularly HIPAA and state regulations, is required. Candidates must reside in Oklahoma.
