Position Purpose: In this role, you will help maintain Centene Corporation's Compliance Program. You will guide special projects, interpret regulations, provide compliance reports, and develop and implement strategies for compliance auditing and monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to external requests for information required for regulatory filings
  • Addressing inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies
  • Monitoring pending legislation and regulations that affect Centene Corporation services
  • Maintaining a database and other reference materials related to legislative and regulatory issues and compliance
  • Communicating state and federal requirements to internal and external clients
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving compliance issues
  • Maintaining and reviewing regulatory documentation
  • Developing and conducting compliance training programs
  • Performing periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring activities
  • Assisting health plans in managing relationships with regulatory agencies
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of Compliance Committee policy
  • Serving as a company-wide resource and liaison on policies, contract issues, communications, workflow, and quality improvements initiatives

Education/Experience: To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. A Master's or Juris Doctorate degree is preferred. You should have at least 1 year of experience in compliance, privacy, and/or regulatory affairs. A working knowledge of laws and regulations, including HIPAA and state regulations, is important. Candidates must live in Oklahoma.
