Job Opportunity at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI):
- Looking for dedicated individuals to sell gasoline and convenience products at our retail stations.
Job Expectations:
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards coworkers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Follow CSI's safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Ensure personal hygiene and neat appearance according to CSI image standards.
- Utilize CSI Loss Prevention process to prioritize the safety of yourself and others.
- Adhere to proper sanitation, food handling, preparation, storage, and disposal procedures to ensure food safety hygiene.
- Follow federal law and company standards when verifying the age of customers for age-restricted products.
- Work professionally with vendors and contractors.
- Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
- Follow proper kitchen and sanitation procedures during the cooking of food products.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Essential Functions:
- Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and attentive to customers' needs.
- Accurately and safely handle point-of-sale transactions, including both retail and fuel sales.
- Manage cash drawer and perform cashier reconciliation at the end of each shift.
- Conduct regular cleaning of the indoor and outdoor facilities, including restrooms, islands, pumps, and car wash.
- Prepare food and beverages, monitor product levels, and restock as needed.
- Actively promote store specials and marketing programs.
- Check prices of delivered goods for accuracy.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked with products.
- Adhere to local law requirements when fueling vehicles.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and exercise exceptional judgment.
- Must possess required up-to-date food handling certificates, as required by law (in specific locations only).
- Cooking/Restaurant experience preferred.
Supervisor Responsibilities:
- No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Travel:
- Travel is rare, limited to required training and coverage for nearby stations.
Physical Demands Include but are not limited to:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on various surfaces.
- Ability to lift, push, and move products using proper lifting techniques.
- Consistent standing, bending, and reaching for Krispy Krunchy Chicken procedures.
- Work safely with equipment that generates high temperatures, using appropriate protective gear.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions during daylight hours.
- Exposure to coolers and freezers at 34 F or lower.
- Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness.
Minimum Age Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old to work in California and Oregon locations.
- Must be at least 21 years old to work in Washington locations.
- Must be at least 21 years old to work the graveyard shift from 10 pm to 6 am.
- Must be at least 21 years old to work in management positions.
