Job Description
Join our team as an Assistant Store Manager and contribute to the success of our store. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, improving performance, managing schedules, and developing the team through training opportunities.
Position Details:- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 38 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $24.50 per hour
As an Assistant Store Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with developing and implementing action plans to improve store performance
- Communicating job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team
- Identifying training and development opportunities for team members
- Creating a sense of teamwork and inclusivity among employees
- Monitoring the competitive environment and making necessary adjustments
- Providing feedback on products and participating in the interviewing process
- Ensuring adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies
- Resolving operational customer concerns and maintaining store equipment
- Ensuring store cleanliness and proper product merchandising
- Assisting with payroll, inventory counts, and training new employees
- Supervising the day-to-day operations of the team
- Complying with company policies and procedures
To successfully perform the role, you should be able to:
- Stock merchandise and lift up to 45 pounds
- Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong customer service and leadership skills
- Understanding of company policies and ability to establish goals and guide employee performance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with handling and selling alcoholic beverages (as per state and local requirements)
Preferred qualifications for this role:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience, with prior management experience
