Job Description

**Job Title:** IT Cyber Security Engineer (Digital) **Location:** Remote **Job Type:** Full-time **Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced IT Cyber Security Engineer to join our team. As a cybersecurity expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing cybersecurity solutions for a large federal organization. This role involves assessing current architectures, documenting target architectures, and advising on roadmaps and implementation plans. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of IT services. Additionally, you will be involved in implementing new security services and assisting in the design and deployment of systems to monitor and report security events. **Responsibilities:** - Assess current architectures and configurations and recommend enhancements - Document current and target architectures - Advise on roadmaps and implementation plans for enhancements - Lead technical initiatives, including configuration, design, and support - Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand needs, concerns, and risks - Identify, document, and recommend changes to improve quality of service and cost efficiency - Implement new or replace existing security implementations - Assist in the design, documentation, and deployment planning for monitoring and reporting security events - Advise on key initiatives such as Zero Trust, Control Automation, Log Management, and SOAR **Requirements:** - Active and current Top Secret federal security clearance - 4+ years of experience in a relevant career field - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant career field - Ability to work collaboratively within a client-facing federal government environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - 4+ years of experience in engineering and deploying complex IT systems - Experience with one or more of the following: Enterprise SIEM, IDS/IPS services, Data Loss Prevention, Data Management, Memory Integrity/Analysis Systems, Endpoint Incident Response Systems, Packet Capture and Analytics Systems, other specialized security systems - Familiarity and experience with Python and SOAP/REST APIs - Experience supporting US government cybersecurity programs - Cybersecurity certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, etc.) - 8+ years of experience in network and endpoint security architecture - Experience with managing Linux and Windows servers - Experience with code or script development - Experience with AWS or Azure operations - Experience with SIEM - Strong communication skills and ability to lead client engagements **What We Offer:** - Competitive compensation package - Flexible benefits package - Medical, dental, vision insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Retirement plan - Life and disability insurance - Tuition reimbursement and skills development opportunities - Employee referral program - Corporate-sponsored events and community outreach - Emergency backup childcare program - Mobility stipend **About Guidehouse:** Guidehouse is an inclusive and diverse Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
