7North is our specialized 64-bed Orthopedic (Ortho) unit. We provide high-quality care for orthopedic surgery, injuries, and diseases such as joint replacements, orthopedic oncology, geriatric fractures, and trauma. We also offer support for spine and general surgery patients, as well as medical patients.

As a Registered Nurse IV on 7North, you will be responsible for supervising and applying the nursing process to deliver exceptional patient care.

• You are an expert clinician, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in your specialty and general nursing.
• You consistently excel in all aspects of nursing practice, including care delivery, staff education, research, and collaboration.
• You handle complex and unpredictable patient care situations, leading the way as a nursing leader.
• You serve as a valuable resource to nursing staff, the unit, the organization, and the community, promoting nursing advancements.
• You apply your clinical knowledge to optimize interventions for time and cost efficiency, while adhering to standard care requirements.
• You understand and comply with regulatory requirements related to patient assignments, task delegation, documentation, and care oversight.

Educational Requirements:

• BSN or higher degree required.

Licenses/Certifications:

• California State RN License
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• National Specialty Certification (e.g., CMSRN)

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of acute RN experience, with at least 3 years in the specialty area.
• Maintained satisfactory Clinical Nurse III status for a minimum of one (1) year.
• Received an overall performance evaluation of "Strongly Meets" or higher.
• Meets clinical criteria and protocol of Clinical Nurse IV.
