Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Our Emergency Room Techs are responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, and processing supplies and equipment used in the emergency department. - They assist with basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and maintain a prepared patient care environment. - Techs must follow procedures, work under pressure, and interact professionally with other hospital departments. - They should be open to learning new ideas and performing their duties effectively. - Participation in the department's performance improvement activities related to the Emergency Department is expected. Job Requirements: - Minimum of one year experience in an acute hospital setting or in an ambulance (preferred). - Current BLS Certification is required. - Current EMT Certification is preferred. - Knowledge of medical terminology is required. - Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is required. - Additional language skills are preferred. - Basic computer knowledge is required.
