Our 30-bed inpatient Pediatrics unit, known as 4Northeast, is looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about caring for pediatric patients with acute and chronic health conditions, as well as those requiring surgical interventions. You will work with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to provide individualized and family-centered care in a developmentally appropriate manner.

As a Registered Nurse for Pediatrics, your responsibilities include:

• Providing direct and indirect patient care services with a focus on safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection
• Educating patients and their families about disease prevention and measures for restoration of health
• Administering medications and therapeutic agents as part of treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Performing skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiating peripheral venous access
• Observing and assessing signs of illness, medication reactions, general behavior, and physical condition to identify any abnormalities and take appropriate action
• Developing and implementing individualized patient care plans based on observations and standardized procedures
• Considering and addressing the specific needs of patients, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family, and condition-related factors

Requirements:

• Associate Degree/College Diploma in Nursing
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• California State Registered Nurse License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
• Strongly recommended: ANCC Specialty Certification after 2 years in the Peds specialty
• Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting (preferred)
