Job Description
Join Cedars-Sinai and be part of a team that is leading the way in medical advancements! The Division of Rheumatology at Cedars-Sinai is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator I to join their team.
As a Clinical Research Coordinator I, you will work closely with the Scleroderma Program and Rheumatology faculty investigators to support clinical and translational research. This includes coordinating research activities, screening participants for eligibility, and ensuring compliance with research protocols.
Here are some of the primary duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule research visits and procedures for participants
- Document participant conditions, adverse events, and protocol compliance
- Collect and maintain accurate research data
- Collaborate with regulatory coordinators and Institutional Review Boards (IRB) for protocol submissions and compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal and local agencies and maintain research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
- Maintain strict participant confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Participate in required training and education programs
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement and collaborate with staff to develop action plans
- Assist with recruitment efforts and clinical trial management
Department-specific responsibilities include:
- Assisting with IRB document preparation and protocol development
- Developing standard operating procedures (SOP) for research activities
- Maintaining study databases and optimizing data collection workflows
- Assisting with research procedures such as phlebotomy and skin biopsies
- Setting up and managing clinical trials
- Ensuring scientific integrity of data and patient safety in clinical trials
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Sociology, or related field is preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- ACRP/SoCRA certification is preferred
Experience:
- One (1) year of clinical research experience is required
Physical Demands:
- Able to perform moderate lifting
- Able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time
