Job Ad: Experienced Technician at Penske

Penske is looking for experienced Technicians who want to advance their careers. As a Technician at Penske, you will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles. Your work will help our customers keep their vehicles in excellent shape and on the road.

At Penske, you will be a respected and experienced lead at your location. You will set an example and mentor others while continuing to learn from your manager. You will have the trust and freedom to work independently, doing major and minor repairs and performing road tests to diagnose problems. Safety and reliability are our top priorities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring vehicles are safe and well-maintained for our customers
  • Performing preventive maintenance services on truck and trailer equipment
  • Repairing and troubleshooting major components such as engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Keeping your work area clean and safe
  • Using Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics
  • Participating in technician training to learn new skills
  • Completing other assigned projects and tasks

Schedule: Split Shift: 11AM-7PM

Qualifications:
  • 6 years of practical experience with truck and tractor-trailer maintenance
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
  • Specialized training and experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting major components
  • Proficient in using all tools of the trade
  • Valid driver's license required, CDL preferred
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions
  • Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent movement, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods
  • Ability to use hands for grasping, reaching, touching, handling, feeling, and operating tools and controls
  • Capability to work safely at heights and in all weather conditions
  • Good vision and hearing to navigate the work environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs/23kg regularly and up to 100lbs/45kg occasionally
