About the team - As a Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) in Capital One's Enterprise Cybersecurity organization, we are looking for someone passionate about cybersecurity. In this role, you will protect our company and customers by driving the delivery of cyber tools and integrating them with software and processes across the company. In addition to the technical program, you will also work on expanding the TPM discipline within the team. Your industry knowledge and experience will help teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve. Our TPM Directors have: - Strong technical backgrounds, ideally in building highly scalable platforms, products, or services, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle. - Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - A quantitative approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset towards holistic solutions. - Experience as a TPM leader, growing and developing a team of TPMs and building the foundations for the TPM practice. - The ability to simplify technically complex concepts and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives. - Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results. - Exceptional cross-team collaboration skills, able to work across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries. - Highly tuned emotional intelligence, a good listener, and deep-seated empathy for teams and partners. Basic Qualifications: - At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs. - Bachelor's degree. Preferred Qualifications: - 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing. - 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity. - 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, preferably using AWS. - 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms. - 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery. - 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs. - Experience in building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment. - Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering). - MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience. Salary Information: - New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $228,500 - $260,800 for Director, Technical Program Management. - San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $242,100 - $276,300 for Director, Technical Program Management. Please note that salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on hours worked. Salaries for positions in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
