Director, Technical Program Manager - Generative AI Systems

About the team: In this role, you will bring together product, tech, and the lines of business to execute our business strategies using Generative AI. You'll deliver outstanding and measurable outcomes by defining objectives, roadmaps, collaboration across the organization, progress tracking, and technical requirements for our Generative AI platforms. To succeed, you'll need a strong technical background, expertise in system architecture, and effective communication skills to collaborate with different teams.
In addition to driving technical programs, you will also shape the expansion of the TPM discipline within the team. Your industry knowledge and experience will help teach the organization about the value of a great TPM.
Our TPM Directors have:
- Strong technical backgrounds, ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services, and an ability to identify and mitigate technical risks
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills
- A quantitative approach to problem-solving and a holistic mindset
- Experience leading a team of TPMs and building the TPM practice
- The ability to simplify complex technical concepts and make well-informed decisions across different teams
- Deep focus on execution, accountability, and delivering results
- Outstanding cross-team collaboration skills, working across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries to achieve goals
- High emotional intelligence, active listening skills, and empathy for teams and partners
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture
- 3+ years of experience building scalable mobile products & platforms
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery
- 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs - taking the business or technical vision, collaborating with cross-functional teams, securing commitments on deliverables, and driving business impact
- Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
- MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience

Salary Information:
- New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $228,500 - $260,800 for Director, Technical Program Management
- San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $242,100 - $276,300 for Director, Technical Program Management
- Salary for candidates hired in other locations will be based on the pay range associated with that location. The actual salary offered will be reflected in the candidate’s offer letter.
