Who Are We?

HammerHead is a division of The Toro Company. We provide specialized equipment and materials for underground construction projects, focusing on rehabilitation, replacement, and installation. We offer support and consultation to customers around the world.

The CA/NV Regional Manager for Rehabilitation and Replacement is responsible for direct sales activities in California and Nevada. This role involves building positive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers, conducting business with integrity, efficiency, and professionalism.

Work Environment:

  • Will involve domestic travel by air and highway
  • Resides in the assigned territory (CA/NV) and maintains a home office
  • Frequent use of telephone and computer
  • Dealing with rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines
  • A valid US driver's license is required

What Will You Do?

Your responsibilities at The Toro Company include:

  • Managing sales in the assigned territory: California and Nevada
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals on specific product lines related to rehabilitation and replacement
  • Creating new customer relationships for Department of Transportation and Railroad projects
  • Meeting annual sales objectives for designated "Key Accounts"
  • Following up on leads generated by the marketing and inside sales teams, tracking notes and follow-up tasks in our customer relationship management system
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to our customers, guiding them through the sales process
  • Becoming an expert in our product line and its use, operation, and application
  • Communicating with dealership principals and management, ensuring they understand and support our goals
  • Assisting dealer sales personnel with HammerHead product sales, promoting sales promotions and incentive programs
  • Providing regular updates on sales pipeline activities and managing deals in progress
  • Participating in industry trade shows as required
  • Managing accounts receivable within your region, in collaboration with the credit manager
  • Controlling territory expenditures within budgeted levels
  • Ongoing customer communication with a minimum of 125 contacts per month through meetings, emails, and phone calls
  • Approximately 60% travel, including overnight stays

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience in sales and marketing activities is desirable
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and achieve successful results
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or equivalent software
  • Confidence with approachability, and the ability to interact well with others
  • Clear and logical thinking skills, listening well and acquiring important information
  • Ability to work well in a team, putting "we" ahead of "me"
  • Results-oriented and hardworking, with high personal integrity and ethics
  • Willingness to get involved and take initiative
  • Self-starter with the discipline to work independently
  • Professional and neat personal appearance
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for effective self-management
