We are currently hiring for the position of Clinical Nurse II, Oncology. This role involves providing direct care to patients in an ambulatory setting. You will follow approved policies and procedures and use your decision-making skills to manage your patient assignments. In this role, you will establish care plans, set goals, and provide care within established standards of practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess the care needs of oncology patients.
• Review lab results and incorporate them into your assessments.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) monitoring to improve the care of oncology patients.
• Plan patient care and education in collaboration with other healthcare team members.
• Refer patients to other interdisciplinary healthcare team members as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency in technical skills, such as IV therapy and universal precautions.
• Establish IV access and administer IV therapy as ordered by the physician.

Education:

Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

License/Certifications:

• Valid CA RN license required.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• ONS Chemo/Immunotherapy Certified required.

Experience:

One (1) year of acute care experience in their specialty required. Excellent IV skills required. Chemotherapy infusion experience strongly desired. Oncology nursing experience preferred.
