Job Summary: The LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) plays a vital role in assisting physicians and nursing staff in providing healthcare to patients. They perform patient care assessments and a variety of medical tasks in an ambulatory care setting. Job Duties and Responsibilities: - Welcome and evaluate patients during their initial nursing assessment. - Manage patients and take a leadership role within the facility. - Prepare patients for the physician's visit by reviewing their current medications and recording them in the medical record. - Take necessary vital signs and record them in the medical record. - Set up exam rooms or procedure rooms based on individual patient needs. - Assist physicians during examinations or procedures when necessary. - Perform designated diagnostic tests as directed by the physician. - Take appropriate vital signs, record them in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and set up exam rooms or procedure rooms based on specific patient needs. - Assist physicians during examinations or procedures as needed, and complete accurate documentation of tests. Educational Requirements: - Must have graduated from an accredited nursing school.
