About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Pediatrics unit. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients with acute and chronic health conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized and family-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct and indirect patient care services with a focus on safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection
• Offering patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures
• Administering medications and therapeutic agents as prescribed
• Performing skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiating peripheral venous access
• Observing and assessing patients' signs and symptoms, reactions to medications and treatments, and overall condition
• Planning and implementing individualized patient care based on observations
• Identifying patients' readiness for learning and providing appropriate consent and safety measures
• Adapting care to meet the diverse needs of patients, taking into consideration cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family, and condition needs

Qualifications and Experience

• Associate Degree/College Diploma (required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
• California State RN License (upon hire)
• BCLS Certification (upon hire)
• ANCC Specialty Certification strongly recommended after 2 years in specialty (Peds preferred)
• Experience working in an outpatient clinical setting preferred
