Fleet Mechanic III -Holland, MI

The Fleet Mechanic III will perform regular maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, vans, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, and forklifts. They will work under the guidance of the Fleet Manager and Lead Technician. Additionally, this role will involve disassembling and overhauling motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and electrical systems.
Shift and Schedule: - Full-time, Monday-Friday - 10:00am-6:30pm - Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed Responsibilities: - Maintain and repair fleet vehicles, performing preventative maintenance. - Diagnose vehicle issues and repair and reassemble parts as necessary. - Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. - Respond to service calls. - Complete all necessary paperwork, including vehicle records. - Keep work areas and tools clean. - Perform daily checklists and inspections. - Pick up and deliver vehicles. - Manage parts inventory and ordering. - Follow directions of Fleet Supervisor/Manager and Lead Technician. - Input data accurately into the fleet maintenance software program (SAP EAM). Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Minimum 2 years of mechanic experience on a fleet preferred. - Ability to work on all types of vehicles. - Must be able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. - Own set of tools required. - Willingness to acquire necessary certifications and licenses within the first year of employment. Total Rewards: - Starting pay: $30.30 per hour, increasing to $31.90 per hour after 6 months. - Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, paid time off, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement.
