Job Description

Join our team at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI)! We are a retail company that sells gasoline and convenience products at our stations. We are looking for dedicated and safety-minded individuals with a positive attitude. We value teamwork and customer focus.

Job Expectations:
  • Assist the Station Manager in daily operations at the retail facility.
  • Maintain operations and oversee staff when the Station Manager is absent.
  • Provide work direction, motivation, and coaching to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to company guidelines.
  • Follow safety, security, quality, and other company policies and procedures. Report accidents or incidents promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour requirements.
  • Handle cash and maintain store accountability.
  • Promote safety and maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues, customers, vendors, and the community.
  • Reliable attendance is a must.
  • Perform customer service duties as needed.
Principal Duties Include:

Store Operations:

  • Provide work direction to staff, including customer service, stocking, cleaning, and food service.
  • Assist with product inventory management.
  • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and provide assistance or training to Customer Service Representatives.
  • Maintain cleanliness of food service equipment.
  • Report issues or concerns to the Station Manager.
  • Comply with safety standards and use personal protective equipment.
  • Use computer programs for daily operations and administrative tasks.
  • Keep the Business Consultant informed of station operations and issues in the absence of the Station Manager.

People Management:

  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour guidelines.
  • Promote and role-model company values of safety, diversity, inclusion, integrity, and trust.
Job Specifications:

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment, including cash handling and customer service.
  • Familiarity with operating cash registers, computers, and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety requirements for food storage and serving.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations professionally and work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 21.
Physical Demands:
  • Continuous standing, walking, reaching, and pushing buttons.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching below the waist.
  • Lifting weights up to 10lbs continuously and up to 35lbs occasionally.
  • Working with equipment that may hold high temperatures and using personal protective equipment.
  • Exposure to outdoor conditions, cleaning supplies, and occasional walk-in coolers.

Compensation Range: $19.52 - $29.28 per hour.
