**Job Opportunity: Retail Store Team Member at Chevron Stations Inc (CSI)** Are you looking for a rewarding job where safety and teamwork are valued? We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including elderly, refugees, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, and veterans. **Job Expectations:** - Assist the Station Manager in day-to-day operations of the retail facility. - Oversee station operations and staff in the absence of the Station Manager. - Provide direction, motivation, and coaching to staff to ensure tasks are completed according to CSI's guidelines. - Follow safety, security, and quality guidelines, as well as all other CSI policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with wage and hour requirements. - Handle cash handling processes and accountability. - Promote safety and adhere to loss prevention processes. - Maintain professional and courteous interactions with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the community. - Be reliable and punctual. - Perform duties of a Customer Service Representative (CSR) as needed. **Principal duties include but not limited to:** **Store Operations** - Direct staff during shifts to ensure customer service, stocking, cleaning, and food service are taken care of. - Assist with product inventory management and ensure accurate stock levels. - Handle cash handling processes and transactions efficiently. - Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of food service equipment. - Inform the Station Manager of any issues affecting customer service, safety, profitability, or policy adherence. - Adhere to safety standards and wear personal protective equipment. - Use computer programs for store operations and complete administrative tasks. **People Management** - Ensure all employees understand and comply with wage and hour guidelines. - Support and promote CSI's core values of safety, diversity, inclusion, integrity, and trust. **Job Specifications:** **Skills and Experience:** - Previous experience in a fast-paced retail, food service, or fuel environment. - Familiarity with cash handling and customer service. - Ability to operate a cash register, computer console, and related equipment. - Knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements in food storage and serving. - Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. - Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. - Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and good judgment. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - High school graduate or equivalent, and at least 21 years old. **Physical Demands:** - Continuous walking, standing, reaching, grasping, and pushing buttons. - Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and reaching below the waist. - Ability to lift weights up to 10lbs continuously and up to 35lbs occasionally. - Safely handle equipment with high temperatures and wear the appropriate protective gear. - Exposure to outdoor conditions, cleaning supplies, and occasional walk-in coolers. **Location-Specific Requirements:** - Minimum age of 18 to work in California and Oregon locations. - Minimum age of 21 to work in Washington locations or management positions. - Must be 21 years or older for the graveyard shift from 10 pm to 6 am. **Benefits:** - Full-time and part-time shifts available. - Competitive weekly pay with direct deposit. - Health and wellness packages available. - Education reimbursement program. - Shift differential pay for select shifts and job titles. - Management bonus program. - Loyalty service time program. - Commuter benefit program. **Compensation Range:** $17.52 - $26.28 per hour. **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Chevron Stations Inc.
