Job Description

We are looking for an RN Clinical Operations Supervisor who can support our physician and clinical staff in delivering healthcare services. In this role, you will oversee operational aspects, handle human resource responsibilities, perform patient care assessments, and assist with various medical tasks. As a registered nurse, you will work both in an administrative capacity and provide clinical services as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all administrative functions, including front and back office clinical operations, in our medical practice. Ensure a skilled back office team and assess clinical staff for proficiency. Coordinate and maintain staff certifications and licensing requirements.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
  • Oversee administrative functions, such as answering and triaging patient care calls, acting as a liaison between physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Coordinate or serve as a liaison for support activities, including facilities management, pharmacy, utilization management, quality management, risk management, human resources, payroll, clinical services, and systems support.
  • Manage wage and non-wage expenses, including pharmacy and medical supplies, according to budgetary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the management team, staff, and physicians in clinical practices and related departments throughout the organization.
  • Play a key role in researching, setting up, and implementing new procedures, projects, workflows, and equipment.
  • Prepare necessary charts and ensure all relevant items are available to the provider before patient care begins.
  • Set up exam rooms and procedure rooms based on visit needs. Assist providers during examinations/procedures as required.
  • Perform back-office staff functions, including managing patient flow, charting, room preparation, vital sign measurements, updating and maintaining medical records, and handling designated clinical care telephone interactions, when needed.
  • Perform designated diagnostic tests, draw and prepare lab work/specimens, administer immunizations, injections, oral or IV medications, and convey lab results to patients, as advised by the provider. Assist in scheduling follow-up needs and communicate important clinical findings to the provider.
  • Advocate for the patient and utilize appropriate resources.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.

License/Certification:
  • California RN state license required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in a medical setting (e.g., Emergency Room, Urgent Care) required. Leadership experience highly preferred.
