Position: Fuel Plant Operator

Location: Seneca, IL

About the Role:

As a Fuel Plant Operator at Chevron Renewable Energy Group, you will be responsible for performing biodiesel operational functions. Your role will involve ensuring the production of quality biodiesel and maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities to benefit both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Operating the biodiesel master computer system
  • Performing quality control functions on various substances
  • General facility maintenance and housekeeping
  • Assisting in overseeing biodiesel production
  • Learning equipment maintenance for mechanical operations
  • Improving production efficiency
  • Maintaining a neat and clean plant appearance
  • Ensuring compliance with safety guidelines
  • Serving on the safety committee and conducting safety meetings
  • Maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Performing other assigned duties

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6-12 months of general work experience preferred. Previous chemical processing or related experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer knowledge, mechanical and electrical skills, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Process Operations Technician Program
