Short Description
This position focuses on delivering outstanding customer service to our patients. The role involves ensuring the quality of patient scheduling, maintaining positive telephone etiquette, and ensuring customer satisfaction in line with the mission of Cooper University Hospital. As the first point of contact for incoming patients, your responsibilities will include greeting, registering, scheduling, collecting copays, and providing general information to patients and their families using the AIDET approach. You should be organized, proactive, and embody Cooper's values when interacting with customers and colleagues. Additionally, you will serve as a non-clinical guide for patients during discharge coordination.
Experience Required
We prefer candidates with at least one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility. Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations, and referrals is highly desired. Experience with the Epic system is also preferred. Excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and teamwork skills are essential. Demonstrated excellence in customer service is a must.
Education Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
