PALP Maintenance Technician

The Chevron Port Arthur Lubricants Plant is seeking candidates for a full-time position on the maintenance team. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including elderly individuals, refugees, people with visible and invisible disabilities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and veterans.

Responsibilities for this position may include:

• Compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Performing inspections and maintenance on plant processes and equipment
• Repairing rotating equipment
• Utilizing laser alignment equipment
• Applying knowledge of machining and metal properties
• Reading equipment drawings and documenting repairs
• Supporting plant reliability and goals
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving for plant equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance activities
• Executing daily work requests and scheduled maintenance activities
• Maintaining spare parts inventory
• Operating powered industrial trucks
• Solving problems in manufacturing processes
• Taking care of tools and equipment
• Being available for after-hours and weekend work
• Ensuring environmental accountability
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have valid experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in a maintenance role in the Oil and Gas Industry

Assessment:

As part of the application process, you will be required to take an assessment that measures aptitude and work styles. The assessment will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. You will have 72 hours (about 3 days) to complete the online assessment, and your assessment score will be valid for 180 days. If you reapply for another job requisition that includes the Maintenance Assessment within this timeframe, you will need to complete the application process and retake the assessment.
