About the Team

As a senior Oracle, MySQL, and Oracle Exadata Database Administrator (DBA), you will be part of a centralized database administration team that provides 24/7 support in test and production environments. Your role will involve maintaining highly visible production databases.

What You Will Do

• Manage backups and work with other database administrators to ensure successful processes and data recovery.
• Provide on-call support as needed for database issues and ensure resolution of recurring problems.
• Assist application groups in designing and developing databases that meet business requirements.
• Follow established standards and processes for creating physical database structures and enforcing database standards.
• Escalate customer outages appropriately and meet project timelines and deadlines.
• Participate in database recovery and disaster recovery testing and documentation.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures to protect data integrity.
• Work as part of a development support team on projects and contribute to logical and physical database design.
• Monitor and optimize database performance.
• Provide 24/7 support for production databases.
• Provide maintenance and infrastructure design support for applications.
• Report detailed status updates to managers and actively push for implementation of recommendations.
• Identify problem areas and recommend improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Information Management or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 5+ years experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Oracle Core DBA, MySQL DBA, and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Oracle Database Architecture, Oracle Database Upgrade, and Oracle Exadata Database Machine.
• Familiarity with Oracle RAC DBA and Oracle Tuning.
• Optional skills in IBM AIX, Linux Environments, and Oracle Linux.
• Experience in designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data.
• Ability to analyze SQL queries, revise database schemas, administer security, and manage user accounts.
• Willingness to participate in an active on-call rotation and provide off-hours support.

Certifications

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is a plus.
