What will you be doing in this role? We are currently hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner II. In this role, you will be responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services as ordered by physicians and following department policies and procedures. Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Manager, you will ensure that all patient care and family interactions are conducted with sensitivity to the needs and safety of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Other responsibilities include administering respiratory therapy treatments, performing EKGs, sending reports to physicians, and filing reports according to department procedures. You will demonstrate knowledge of different techniques and treatment modalities for patients of different ages. Ensuring patient safety and reducing the risk of errors is a top priority. Additionally, you will develop and evaluate teaching plans for patients and include their families as appropriate. Treating patients and their families with respect and dignity is a key part of this role. You will also be expected to perform any additional duties assigned by the department manager.
