Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure vehicles are well-maintained and safe for our customers.
- Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for logging, researching, and completing repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as tire replacement or rotation, vehicle component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance.
- Participate in technician training and hands-on coaching to acquire new skills.
- Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by your supervisor.

General Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Problem-solving skills and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and outdoors.
- Basic computer skills.
- Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
- Willingness to work the required schedule, complete the employment application and background screening, pass a drug screen and physical as mandated by the Department of Transportation, and potentially travel for training.
- As this position may involve safety-sensitive tasks, the ability to work attentively and safely is required.
Physical Requirements:
- The job involves remembering and understanding instructions, as well as seeing and verbally communicating. It requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The associate must be able to move frequently, stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, lift, and carry weights up to 50lbs/23kg.
