Job Description
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for managing a company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and financial analysis. The CFO is typically a member of the company's executive team and reports directly to the CEO or board of directors.
The primary responsibilities of a CFO may include:
Financial Strategy: Developing and implementing financial strategies that support the company's overall business objectives, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning.
Financial Reporting: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, and providing financial information to management and stakeholders.
Risk Management: Assessing and managing financial risks to the company, including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks.
Capital Management: Managing the company's capital structure and ensuring sufficient capital is available to support growth and strategic initiatives.
Cost Management: Analyzing and managing costs to improve profitability and efficiency, including managing expenses, optimizing investments, and reducing waste.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, and working with internal and external auditors to ensure effective controls are in place.
Investor Relations: Managing relationships with investors and analysts, including providing financial information and answering questions about the company's financial performance.
Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing finance team, and working collaboratively with other members of the executive team to achieve the company's goals.

Qualifications
Expectations – the experience you need
- Ten or more years of experience in the role or similar position, preferably in the management of architecture, design, or construction company.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis, with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
- Demonstrated experience of ethical leadership.
- Outstanding verbal and written skills, and experience working with staff on all levels
- International education experience is required and a graduate degree in business or operations is highly preferred.
