Job Description

Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm

The Material Handler is responsible for performing tasks involving the shipping and receiving of both raw and finished materials.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Ensuring we have the correct paperwork for the days production provided by BPC
  • Distributing the department specific paperwork each morning before production starts.
  • Creating the days schedule following proper wash downs or P.O. changes.
  • Accurately weigh up and record weights of full meat trucks.
  • Accurately record casing usage for each P.O.
  • Ensures we are using the correct specifications for each specific item we produce.
  • Ensures we are using the correct material for each specific item we produce.
  • Maintains a clean working area.
  • Safety Operate a manual or electric pallet jack.
  • Follow daily production schedule and achieve specified goals.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) training, along with company pre-requisite programs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP’s).
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
  • Following set company and OSHA safety rules, regulations, and guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

Preferred:       

  • 1+ months related manufacturing or food experience.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain, purchasing, materials, and/or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of SAP.

•                Working knowledge of computers and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

Additional Information

 

The salary range for this role is $23 – $28(Hourly).  Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience. Base pay is just one component of Jack Link’s Total Rewards package for Team Members. Other rewards may include annual incentive and program-specific awards. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment is a plant / office setting with varying degrees of temperatures and noise levels. Exposure to manufacturing equipment movement and wet / slippery floors. Travel may be required.
