WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT

As Category Manager, you will be part of a team of 5 colleagues. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, contributing to strategic purchasing activities and product performance. You should expect 20-25 days of traveling.

Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

  • Define and align category strategy and development with Purchasing Director.
  • Developing and optimizing the mattress assortments.
  • Secure category performance by following up on budget and KPIs.
  • Collaborating with suppliers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.
  • Supporting ongoing improvement in quality, functionality and commercial appeal.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING

You will bring the following to the team:

Mattress Category insight

  • Expert in the mattress category from a technical perspective with proven track record in working with different foam types, spring systems, constructions etc, and a high interest in understanding the components of mattresses to the smallest detail.
  • Customer centric mindset focusing on benefits and outcomes for the end user, based on a strong understanding of customers sleeping behaviour and needs.
  • Can implement Scandinavian sleeping design and function striking the balance between globalisation and local adjustments.

Analytic mindset

  • Strong record in using data insights to understand performance, customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Experienced in hypothesis driving data analysis as input to assortment development.
  • Use data to create the right balance between global and local assortment priorities.

Besides the analytic mindset and insight in the mattress category, we expect you to be clear in your communication and find it natural to share insights and findings with relevant stakeholders.
