Job Description
WHAT YOUR NEW JOB WILL BE ABOUT
We are looking for a Health & Safety Site Manager to lead and drive the health and safety agenda at our Distribution Center in Uldum.
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the daily management of health and safety activities at the site, ensuring compliance with Danish legislation and corporate standards while building a strong safety culture across the organization.
You will translate corporate Health & Safety strategy into practical operational execution at Distribution center level, working closely with logistics, HR, technical teams, and employee representatives to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
You will report directly to the Logistics Director (Distribution Center Uldum) and work in close cooperation with the Health & Safety Manager Logistics.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Management
- Lead and coordinate all health and safety activities at the distribution center
- Ensure health and safety considerations are integrated into operational, technical, and investment decisions
- Build and maintain an effective local health and safety organization
Compliance & Procedures
- Implement and ensure compliance with corporate H&S procedures
- Align corporate procedures with Danish health and safety legislation
- Maintain local H&S guidelines, methods, and tools
Risk Assessment & Prevention
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Carry out regular safety inspections
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment and safety devices
- Oversee contractor safety and ensure emergency preparedness and fire safety
Incident Management
- Manage accidents, near-misses, and risk observations
- Ensure investigation, documentation, and corrective actions
- Report incidents and performance to relevant stakeholders
Safety Culture & Communication
- Promote strong safety culture and behavioral safety initiatives
- Communicate health and safety topics across the organization
- Encourage employee involvement and process safety improvement proposals
Training & Development
- Coordinate health and safety training programs
- Ensure onboarding training for new employees
- Collaborate with HR on competence development related to safety
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare the Annual Health & Safety Report for the distribution center
- Monitor H&S performance and manage KPIs
- Ensure documentation and reporting of safety activities and results
Collaboration & Governance
- Facilitate Health & Safety Committee meetings at the distribution center
- Collaborate with operations, HR, technical departments, and other DCs
- Share best practices across the logistics organization
Qualifications
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
Qualifications:
- Relevant Health & Safety education, certification, or professional experience
- Experience working with standardized safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)
- Strong knowledge of Danish health and safety legislation
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, production, or similar operational environments is an advantage
