Are you ready to start your career as a Graduate Software Engineer in an international retail organisation. As a Graduate in Web Development at JYSK Head Office in Aarhus, you will join our IT organisation and work on web solutions that support both customers and store colleagues across our global business.

You will become part of the JYSK Graduate Programme, where learning, responsibility, and collaboration go hand in hand. From the beginning, you will work closely with experienced developers and business stakeholders, contributing to modern web applications used by over 100 million customers across 29 countries. The role is designed to strengthen your technical skills while giving you a solid understanding of the business context behind the solutions you build.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU
You will join a structured 24-month Graduate Programme designed to support your development as a web developer in a global retail setup. During the programme, you will rotate across cross-functional agile scrum teams, working with skilled engineers, testers and UX colleagues, with room for planning and building features by following best practices.

You will gain hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies and best practices, while learning how we develop, maintain, and scale business-critical web applications at JYSK. After successful completion of the programme, you will secure a permanent position within IT.

WHAT YOUR NEXT JOB WILL BE ABOUT
Your tasks and responsibilities in the job include:

  • Rotation across agile teams to build broad insight into our systems and ways of working
  • Developing and maintaining JYSK’s web applications with a focus on performance, stability and scalability
  • Working closely with team members and stakeholders to build seamless user experience
  • Taking responsibility for existing applications and contributing to continoues improvements
  • Staying up to date with latest web technologies and sharing knowledge in the department
  • Receiving ongoing technical guidance to strengthen your developer skills

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING
We are looking for a new colleague who:

  • Has recently completed or will soon complete a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cand. Scient., Information Technology, or similar
  • Has some experience with React, Javascript, Typescript, HTML and CSS
  • Communicates clearly and collaborates well in cross-functional teams
  • Has a proactive approach to improving solutions and challenging the status quo
  • Brings a positive, learning and growth mindset
  • Experience with web development from a student job, internship or hobby projects is a plus
