Job Description
Join our team at our international headquarters in Utrecht, starting in September 2026. As a Safety, Health & Environment Management System Intern, you will support the Global Safety, Health and Environment team in the implementation, coordination and continuous improvement of the JDE Peet’s SHE Management System, helping ensure that key requirements, processes and documentation are consistently managed across the organisation.
You will be part of the Global SHE team, working closely with Regional and local SHE teams to support governance, document control, performance follow-up and implementation tracking. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a global manufacturing environment and contribute to the development of a structured, simple and effective SHE Management System.
In this role, you will:
Support the implementation and follow-up of the Global SHE Management System requirements.
Assist in maintaining and improving SHE documentation, trackers, templates, guidance materials and implementation tools.
Support the preparation of SHE Management System reviews, SHE Auditing, meetings, presentations and status updates.
Help collect, organise and analyse information from regions and sites to monitor progress, gaps and improvement opportunities.
Support communication and coordination with Regional and Local SHE teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of agreed actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to make SHE processes simpler, clearer and more effective.

For this role as a Safety, Health & Environment Management System Intern, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:
Currently studying or recently graduated in Safety, Health & Environment, Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interest in Safety, Health and Environment, management systems, governance and continuous improvement.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to structure information, follow up actions and work with deadlines.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint and Power BI.
Proactive, curious and hands-on mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating with global and local teams.
- Commitment: You are available for at least 1 year, ideally from September 2026 to August 2027
- Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including four days in-office and one day remotely, ensuring a great balance between collaboration and independence.
Academic Requirements
- Your internship must be part of your studies and contribute to your credits
- Your educational institution must be willing to sign a cooperation agreement with JDE (and possibly an NDA, depending on the department)
- You are an EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands during the internship, or a non-EU/EEA student residing in the Netherlands and enrolled at a Dutch educational institution
