The National Account Manager role is a broad position with a challenging but satisfying and very high potential client base. The role will be field based with regular travel to both client site and our offices in Banbury and Hurley (nr Maidenhead). This is a hugely exciting role, joining the company at a time of growth and expansion, with the opportunity to leverage our new position as the world’s largest pure-play coffee company.

Job Description

Key Tasks

  • The delivery of customer AOP; encompassing agreed volume, NSV, GP & GP%NSV measures. 
  • The pricing, promotion, negotiating and account planning of your account(s)
  • Co-ordination with field sales team to optimize in-store execution
  • Internal Business Planning
  • Negotiation of NPD listings & distribution extensions for existing products
  • Category & Market Awareness
  • Promotional Evaluation
  • Customer Management

Qualifications

This role would suit someone currently operating at a NAM level looking to get exposure to bigger/different customers or a high-potential NAE wanting to fast-track their career and work with accounts that have untapped potential.

  • Currently operating at a NAM level (or equivalent) OR a Senior Level NAE at the moment.
  • Proven UK Account Management experience in a retail brand environment and have close relationships with at least one of the Top 4 Grocery Multiples or Discounters (Aldi/Lidl).
  • Full P&L responsibility
  • Degree educated (or equivalent).
  • Ability to demonstrate NSV growth achievement.
  • Be mobile and willing to travel.
  • The nature of this role requires strategic capability, strong internal networks and cross-functional relationship building skills.
