Job Description
The Engineering Digital, Data Development (D3) Group designs, builds, and deploys medical-grade software, data infrastructure, and applications that enable remote collaboration, device communications, and the collection and analysis of medical device machine data from thousands of systems deployed worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in networking, product infrastructure, software product releases, and services, and Windows and Mobile platforms. This role operates in a fast-paced, primarily Agile development environment and requires the ability to balance hands-on validation testing, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with highly technical peers.
What You’ll Do
Own the design and development of test plans and protocols for functional software verification of Hub Applications, and Windows & Mobile platforms
Perform embedded platform testing
Build and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and release test execution plans
Execute test cases, document results, and provide clear, detailed verification evidence
Support Product Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, including execution and documentation
Provide in-depth feedback to Development on requirement and specification clarity to ensure proper test method development
Act as a core team member during product definition and design phases, advocating for testability, test tools, and automation considerations
Perform and drive root cause analysis, troubleshooting issues across software, networking, and platform layers
Ensure timely issue resolution by working closely with Development and escalating issues to internal engineering groups as appropriate
Identify product and process improvement opportunities and make actionable recommendations
Operate effectively across changing priorities in an Agile environment, balancing hands-on testing with planning, analysis, and collaboration
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (desired)
5+ years of experience leading Software Quality Assurance programs and strategies
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA best practices
Understanding of design control and design validation processes
Automation development and scripting, such as:
Python, batch, shell scripting
Jenkins, Mabl or similar CI tools
Strong knowledge of Windows, Android and iOS operating systems
Hands-on experience with JIRA, test management tools, Postman, network disturbance tools, Selenium, and related QA tooling
Technical depth and awareness of industry trends, with the ability to apply them to achieve desired outcomes
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to present and justify positions to all levels of the organization
Strong problem-solving and decision-making orientation
Ability to work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
A strong troubleshooting mindset, with the ability to systematically decompose systems to identify failure mechanisms
Experience with HIPAA, FDA, FIPS 140-2, and GxP standards.
Excellent documentation skills
Willingness to travel occasionally as required
