Job Description

Job Overview:

The Senior Director of Operations is responsible for the strategic and operational management of production and distribution sites in Canada and the United States. This role involves managing plant managers to ensure operational optimization, the achievement of performance, quality, and health and safety objectives, as well as the coordination of activities across different sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage operations at production sites and distribution centers, optimizing processes and resources.
  • Foster the professional development of teams by maintaining a productive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies tailored to the needs of each site, in collaboration with plant managers and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards at all levels of site operations.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets and performance targets for each site, optimizing costs and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Ensure smooth communication between sites, plant managers, and senior management.
  • Align objectives and priorities while fostering cross-site collaboration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements at each site.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in operations management, with significant experience in multi-site management and team leadership.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong skills in leadership, team management, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites as required by plant and customer needs.
  • Proficiency in quality and safety standards applicable to production and distribution.
  • Fluency in French and English to support our operations outside of Quebec (spoken and written).
