Job Description

The Payroll Coordinator will process the organization’s payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Responsible for maintaining employee resource records in both the timekeeping system and payroll system, gathering project related data to keep costs on track, which includes ensuring timesheets are processed timely and accurately for payroll.

The position is fully remote but has the possibility of having to travel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers processing of organization's payroll and collects payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews timekeeping and payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of timesheets for payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, Project changes and changes to pay rates.
  • Audits payroll information for accuracy.
  • Reconciles payroll hours and earnings, tax withholdings, wage garnishments, and voluntary deductions.
  • Participates in problem solving and special projects within the Payroll Department.
  • Maintain employees’ current resource data in the all company systems.
  • Monitors company Payroll email box and responds accurately and timely to all inquires.
  • Work with Employees, Payroll, Information Technology, and Human Resources teams closely to resolve any timesheet and/or payroll related issues
  • Generate various compliance reports regularly to ensure timely submission and approval of timesheets.
  • Ad-hoc reporting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiarity with payroll processing systems. ADP preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) required

Required Work Experience

  • 1 - 2 years of payroll processing experience required. 

Required Competencies

  • Strong quantitative skills, data analysis and spreadsheet knowledge.
  • Solid customer relations skills and ability to handle highly sensitive/confidential information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills a must.
  • Must be self-motivated, strong problem solver, and High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
