Job Description
In Category Area Logistics Services, we establish, develop and operate logistics service units owned by Inter IKEA. We are managing the Distribution Service Provider Agreements under which INGKA operate their DCs. We work with consolidation and direct delivery points. Moreover, we are responsible for the cold chain transportation, warehousing and logistics services for IKEA Food.
We are looking for an inspiring, value based and experienced leader with a strong belief in individuals’ potential - to lead and execute the exciting agenda in Supply Chain Operations. As Category Area Logistics Services Manager, you will lead and develop the category area and work to strengthen and accelerate some of the most important strategic movements in Supply Chain Operations going forward. We have an exciting agenda ahead of us in Supply Chain Operations and you, together with the leaders of your Category Area, will be leading the development and implementation of plans, setting priorities, creating business and people results and building alignment with other partners in the total IKEA value chain. All of this will help us to reach the common IKEA goals.
You will be part of Supply Chain Operations Management Team, as well as leading your own category management team, covering Category Distribution, Category Mid-Receiver Units and Category Food Logistics Services across the globe.
In the assignment you will:
- Participate in the creation of the overall strategies for Supply Chain Operations for total IKEA as a member of Supply Chain Operations Management Team.
- Secure right pre-conditions for the categories and by that achieve professional long term business development and excellent results through IKEA way of doing business.
- Secure the right competence in the right place by being responsible for recruitment, development, performance management, retention and succession plans within your area of responsibility.
- Capturing synergies across categories in terms of ways of working and development.
- Be leading in a quickly changing environment.
- Actively inspire and empower leaders and co-workers to perform and deliver, learn and develop to the best of their abilities.
- Build successful internal and external stakeholder relationships, advise and support your teams and leaders across the category area in strengthening and accelerating strategic business development of Supply Chain Operations.
- Establish a common framework for defining, communicating and mitigating risks, leading to one view on trade barriers, market, political and sustainability risks in the category area.
You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Manager and be based in Pratteln, Switzerland. Currently, we are finalizing the recruitment of the new Supply Chain Operations Manager. This person will be in the lead for this recruitment.
