Job Description
We believe that you are curious to grow the business, the function and yourself. You will secure excellence in total Supply Chain operational performance from end-to-end perspective as well as secure and continuously improve Service Provider’s operational performance and maximize the optimization potential related to Service Provider’s production costs. You will work in close cooperation with our business partners and relevant supply chain stakeholders to achieve the best result for IKEA.
Your main assignments as a Supply Operations Developer are to secure service provider's operational performance in all aspects (as defined by relevant KPIs, in relation to capacity, precision, qualitative parameters, claims, safety, etc.). Secure logistical operational performance from end-to-end perspective as it is defined by respective set of KPIs/PIs; within given geographical scope. Follow-up and implement actions within existing and new delivery solutions.
You will also align with supply chain stakeholders to secure logistical operational performance, as well as create preconditions for smooth and efficient Supply Operations.
You will lead their implementation (e.g. new routes) in alignment with relevant stakeholders. Follow-up and adjust Lead Times and together with service providers and internal supply chain stakeholders secure optimal usage of agreed/available transport capacity vs planned/needed capacity.
To active work with capacity forecasting (mid- and short-term) and identify service provider’s production constraints due to peaks, volume fluctuations, etc. Likewise, together with supply chain stakeholders, find optimal solutions leading to securing needed capacity at lowest total cost will be another thing.
Furthermore, you will:
• Support Category Sourcing Specialist with Tender/other procurement activity's preparation and implementation.
• "Ad hoc" purchasing activities. Within the mandate given, contribute to securing capacity in unforeseen situations.
• Secure and share needed industry competence with all relevant functions.
• Build trustful long-term relations with both internal and external stakeholders.
It comes natural for you to act as an IKEA ambassador when communicating and interacting with Service Providers. You can build relations and to work with different stakeholders in a trustful way.
Qualifications
For you to be successful in the role we believe that you need to have a university degree in Logistics, Economics, Business Administration or relevant working experience. You have good knowledge of functions within IKEA Supply Chain and how they contribute to the process and good knowledge of the transport industry incl. market-specific transport safety, security and quality standards.
Good knowledge in Supply Chain operations or transport planning & production. You are really good at building both internal and external relationships.
You have analytical skills and negotiation skills and good knowledge of production costs and the main key drivers. Good knowledge of ways of securing transport performance in all aspects and you are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
You will be member of a team where sharing and learning together is a very important part of developing the business. You will have the possibility to establish and widen your personal networks. You can grow your experience as well as gaining a broader knowledge of IKEA supply chain.
Additional Information
This role is placed in Älmhult, Sweden and you will report to the Supply Operations Manager.
