With a unique role to support the positioning of “IKEA in Älmhult”, IKEA Älmhult AB works to secure the development of Älmhult as an attractive and great place to work, live and visit, today and tomorrow. Beside this IKEA Älmhult AB has a number of Inter IKEA Group service assignments in Sweden and is the Holding company for IKEA Hotell, IKEA Museum and IKEA Property.

IKEA Hotell is primarily a business hotel with 254 hotel rooms, 5 meeting rooms, large common areas, gym and a full-service restaurant. IKEA Hotell plays a vital role when visiting and experiencing IKEA in Älmhult. The hotel contributes to strengthening the IKEA brand and is a main contributor to the Work, Live, Visit programme – where the assignment to develop Destination IKEA in Älmhult sits.

In the role as Sales & Development Leader you will take lead in our work  to make IKEA in Älmhult an even more attractive destination at the same time as you actively work with sales- and marketing activities supporting our great offer within the  Hotell.

Your main assignments:

• Lead the creation of the destination plan for IKEA in Älmhult including defining and executing key actions and activitities
• Lead and coach contributing project-members in the development and execution of the plan
• Connect and align with relevant contributors and partners within IKEA as well as external stakeholders
• Lead and execute sales, communication and marketing activities at the IKEA Hotell

You will be part of many internal and external forums and stakeholder management is a vital part of the job. You will be a key contributor in securing that even more of the many people get inspired and excited about the Hotell and about IKEA in Älmhult and you will be an important player in the management team of the Hotell

We are looking for someone who is passionate about and has strategic experience from destination management, service and the hospitality business. Through an entrepreneurial and curios approach and with a passion to lead in the unknown, you create movements and deliver results based on set strategies and plans. You are great in building relationships on all levels as well as experienced in working across functional teams and organizations. As a leader you have strong management and leadership in line with IKEA Culture & Values and create an open and inclusive environment in your organization.
